Frequently Asked Questions
How much does CrossCare cost?

Not a thing! All of CrossCare’s content and Counsellor Match service don’t cost its users a thing. CrossCare exists to provide greater accessibility of Christian counselling care – regardless of whether you are in a good financial situation right now. It should be noted however, that once you start counselling with your matched counsellor applicable counselling fees to your therapist will still apply.

Do you offer financial subsidies?

While our counsellors individually aim to keep their rates fair and accessible there is a diversity of cost among our team, depending largely on expertise and experience. Make your counselling budget known in the Counsellor Match process and we will help you find the right counsellor for you. Alternatively, talk to your faith community leader, family, friends, or sponsors, about CrossCare and ask if they would support you financially in the journey of your care. You may be surprised who is glad to support you!

How does the church relate to Christian counselling?

CrossCare’s counsellors do not seek to replace or work against the irreplacable pastoral guidance and care of the local church. Instead, CrossCare endeavors to come alongside it to assist in the mission to see every one of her members grow to maturity in Christ (Col. 1:28).

Many pastors feel ill-equipped or are unable to devote the necessary time to see struggling members grow to flourish through life’s trials – CrossCare can fill that gap and catch those people who would otherwise miss out on critical Christian soul care.

Additionally, The office of Christian leadership presents for unique and isolating spiritual, psychological, and challenges that are often experienced without sufficient support. Sadly, many Christian leaders suffer alone. If this is the case, please do not hesitate to reach out to receive confidential Christian counselling suited to your unique needs and beliefs.

How would I know if I even need counselling?

Everyone can make good use of attentive listening, timely encouragement, scriptural guidance, research-backed tips, and faith-congruent help. This is especially true if you feel you may be going through a particularly difficult season of your life. People may traditionally consider counselling for mental health issues such as anxiety or depression but many make profitable use of it for identity exploration and life processing.
