Colin Elmhurst

As our Intake Specialist, Colin’s task is to help you connect you to the counsellor you need. After exploring our counsellors and filling out our counsellor match form, Colin will use that information to be in touch with you, to make sure you get the best possible care for your unique needs.

Colin earned an Master of Divinity in Counselling from his time at Tyndale Seminary, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Trent University, and is a Certified Professional Counsellor with the Professional Association of Christian Counsellors and Psychotherapists and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario

Samuele Bariani

Samuele is a Registered Psychotherapist with CRPO and graduate of Tyndale Seminary‘s Master of Divinity in Counselling (Clinical). He works with individuals, couples, youth 12 and over, and families, with particular attention to family conflict. For individual counselling care, Samuele specializes in trauma, PTSD, and men’s issues but also works with anxiety, depression, and other common presenting issues. Samuele employs a mixture of contemporary cognitive-behavioural therapies such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy with narrative approaches and is able to integrate matters of his clients’ personal faith into the counselling conversation. He offers his counselling services online across Canada, charging $160 per session for individuals, and $180 for couples’ or family sessions.

Amanda Van Noppen

Amanda VanNoppen has a Master’s degree in Mental health Counselling and is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a Certified Canadian Counsellor. Amanda specializes in working with those with complex developmental trauma, substance use or addictions that is linked to past experiences, grief and anxiety. Amanda uses modalities such as Internal Family Systems, Narrative therapy, Solution Focused, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She is also happy to integrate Christian faith in her practice if that feels helpful for the individual. Amanda is based in Ottawa, Ontario, and charges 150$ for individual sessions, $165 for couples, and provides virtual and in-person nature-based sessions which she describes as “walk and talk”. Amanda’s treatment sessions are a therapeutic hour of 50-minutes in duration.

Ellen Reimer

Ellen is a Certified Life Coach and Registered Professional Counsellor with the Canadian Professional Counselling Association (CPCA). She practices Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to address issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, boundaries, communication, identity matters, and women’s issues. Ellen’s passion is to assist women in finding their passion, and guide them to walk in love and wisdom. Ellen charges $120+ for a therapeutic hour of her counselling care, and can see clients remotely or from Kelowna.

Josh Song

Josh is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and received his graduate degree in Clinical Counselling at Tyndale Seminary. He offers trauma-informed psychotherapy that is integrated with spiritual perspectives to individuals and couples. Josh’s approach is grounded in using evidence-based treatment methods and has received professional training in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) for individuals and couples in addition to utilizing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness. Josh charges $150 per individual and $180 per couple’s therapy session.

Heather Lehman

Heather has earned a BA in Psychology and is certified with the Association of Certified Biblical Counsellors. She has attended Heritage Seminary completing courses in the Biblical Care and Counselling graduate program. She currently serve as a Biblical Counsellor at her local church in addition to insured private practice. Heather’s biblical counselling care is appropriate for matters of depression, anxiety, marital challenges, self-harm, anger, addiction, betrayal, abuse and more. Heather sees individual women online and in-person in London, Ontario. She charges $90 per session of her biblical counselling care.

Eric Bouwman

Eric Bouwman is a qualifying Registered Psychotherapist and graduate of Tyndale Seminary‘s Master of Divinity in Clinical Counselling program. Eric specializes in anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and anger management, even though he is able to help counselees with a wide range of presenting issues. Although he leans most heavily on Cognitive-Behavioural techniques, Eric takes a psychologically-integrative approach to his counselling care, borrowing from various modalities to help his clients in their own unique challenges. Eric charges $120+ per psychotherapeutic hour, and his credentials are held in Ontario. Eric sees individuals and couples, both online and in-person in Ottawa.

Nathan Hicks

Nathan possesses a Master of Social Work (with a specialization in Addictions) and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). He has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). His passion is to offer a compassionate, non-judgemental environment where the client feels heard and empowered to express themselves. Previous education in theology, combined with his experience and training in psychotherapy, provide him valuable insight into religious-based issues or traumas. Prior experience includes working with clients who struggle with addiction, depression, relationship issues, anxiety, and trauma-related injuries. Nathan sees individual clients online and charges $130 for an hour of his psychotherapeutic care within the province of Ontario. Currently, Nathan is not taking new clients.

Bobbi Van Brummelen

Bobbi is a trained Registered Professional Counsellor (Candidate) from British Columbia. She integrates both faith and bodily wellness into her professional counselling support, and also leans on a number of theoretical approaches including: Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, and Existential Therapies. Bobbi relates to her clients in a personal way as someone who has also experienced deep valleys in life. She is additionally experienced as a successful fitness, health, and wellness instructor. Bobbi charges $120+ for an hour of her professional counselling care and her credentials are held in British Columbia.

Peter Frieswick

Peter has earned a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and is a qualifying Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario (CRPO). As someone with a long family history in Christian ministry, Peter specializes in working with ministers, missionaries, and their families. He strongly psychologically-grounded as a knowledgeable Cognitive-Behavioural and Solution-Focused therapist, and yet is deeply and unshakably faith-focused and scripture-grounded approach to his work. Peter charges $150 per therapeutic hour (50 minutes) for his Christian psychotherapy support, and his credentials are held in Ontario. Peter’s practice serves individuals seeking counselling online.

Stéphanie Gélinas-Sanchez

Stéphanie completed her bachelor’s degree at the Université du Québec in Outaouais as well as her master’s degree at the University of Ottawa in Social Work. She is a registered social worker and individual counsellor utilizing Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), while simultaneously offering an integration to Christian faith. She is able to offer her counselling support in English, French, and Spanish. Stéphanie charges $175 hourly for an hour of her psychotherapeutic care and her credentials are held in Quebec. Stéphanie serves individuals seeking counselling online within Ontario and Quebec or in-person in Ottawa, Ontario.

Andreia Barreiro

Andreia is a Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario and graduate of Tyndale Seminary‘s Clinical Counselling program. She uniquely brings a strong Christian perspective and to her psychotherapeutic work. Andreia is well-able to work with: anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, spirituality, self-esteem, transitions, and grief. In addition to lens of her Christian faith, she is trained in Cognitive-Behavioural, Dialectical-Behavioural, Emotionally-Focused, and Solutions-Focused psychological perspectives. She counsels in both English and Portuguese. Andreia charges $160+ for a 50-minute individual session, and $190+ for an 80-minute couples session. Her services are available online within Ontario with a particular focus in the GTA, or in-person in Oakville.

Brian Alton

Brian Alton is an experienced pastor and counsellor professionally certified with the Association of Biblical Counsellors. He has received education in pastoral ministry from Briercrest College & Seminary, and counselling equipping with Gospel Care Collective and the Christian Counselling & Educational Foundation where he earned a certificate in Foundations in Biblical Counselling. He counsels in both English and French. Brian charges $90 for an hour of his biblical counselling care for individual work, and $150 per hour for couples work with accompanying $75 individual sessions for each partner. Brian Alton offers his biblical counselling care online, or in-person in Montreal, Quebec.

Beth Rockwell

Beth Rockwell has a Masters Degree in Biblical Counselling and is certified with the Association of Biblical Counselors. Her experience includes over 25 years in pastoral ministry alongside her husband. Her counselling gifting and specialization is particularly with at-risk women in vulnerable and abusive situations. She has also had the pleasure of serving with a crisis pregnancy centre. Beth charges $90 for a session of her individual biblical counselling care online, or in-person in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Hannah Brown

Hannah trained at a masters level as a biblical counsellor with Dallas Theological Seminary. She has since implemented what she’s gained in professional development in psychology as a Registered Psychotherapist with CRPO and as Certified Professional Counsellor (CPC) with PACCP. Her passion is to integrate faith and theology to practice and has demonstrated expertise with issues such as: depression, anxiety, addictions, abuse, spirituality, eating disorders, and relational boundaries. Psychologically, she integrates a Cognitive-Behavioural and Adlerian perspective. Hannah charges $130+ for an hour of her psychotherapeutic care for individuals online or in-person in Ottawa, and her credentials are held in Ontario.

At the moment Hannah is on a leave of absence from her counselling work.

Sandy Boyachek

Sandy is a graduate of Heritage College and Seminary‘s Master of Arts in Theological Studies Biblical Counselling program, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Western University. She has undergone world-class continuing education with the Christian Counselling and Educational Foundation in counselling, and holds credentials as a Certified Biblical Counsellor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counsellors. She has a special gifting for encouraging women in life’s trials, and has demonstrated experience in a number of counselling issues. Sandy charges $100 for an hour of her biblical counselling care for individuals and couples online.

Laure-Marie Carignan

Laure-Marie is a highly experienced counselling clinician. In addition to her graduate and doctorate-level education at Saint Paul University, and graduate theological studies at SEMBEQ, she has spearheaded more than a few Christian counselling clinics and community counselling initiatives. She currently acts as clinical director, educator, supervisor, and continues as a direct counselling care provider. She has world-class expertise in: trauma, psycho-spiritual development, couple and family development, Aspergers syndrome issues, and couple and family intervention. She prefers experiential and narrative approaches with couples and families (emotion-focused therapy and encounter-centered couple therapy) while using cognitive-behavioural, narrative, and family-of-origin perspectives in individual counselling care. She counsels in both English and French. Laure-Marie charges $175 for an hour of her psychotherapeutic care, and her credentials are held in Quebec.

Milton Chan

Milton is a graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary and the Christian Counselling and Educational Foundation‘s Master of Arts in Counselling program. He is also professionally certified with the Association of Biblical Counsellors (ABC). He has also received training in couples counselling from The Gottman Institute. He is an active member of his church where he has been serving for the past 10 years. Milton has a passion for deep, interpersonal relationships and helping people grow. Milton charges $100 for an hour of his biblical counselling care.

Andrew Peterkin

Andrew is a Registered Psychotherapist with CRPO and graduate of Tyndale Seminary‘s Clinical Counselling program. He has a passion for writing and the arts, as well as marginalized communities. He works within a social-contextual, Cognitive-Behavioural and Solutions-Focused perspective. Andrew’s credentials are held in Ontario but he can see clients from across Canada virtually at $120 per session for individuals, and $160 per sessions for couples.

Jillian is a graduate of Saint Paul University and Carleton University. She is an affiliate member of the OAMHP, and a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO. She has a passion for children and youth. Jillian charges $175 for an hour of her psychotherapeutic care. Jillian’s credentials are held in Ontario.
